AMLs- What Are They?

Our AML (Adaptive Music Lessons) program is designed for students with special needs. Focusing on musical exploration and creation through adapted teaching methods and therapeutic techniques. Our class aims to enrich the lives of each of our students and it uses music to bring out the very best in everyone.

All lessons begin at 4 to 5 years old and up. Go to our Book a Tour page to come in for an interview.

Meet The Teacher- Ms. Juliana

Ms. Juliana is our music therapist on staff here at the Octave. Under her guidance we curated this new AML program to help meet the needs of New Orleans. Find out more about her on our teacher page. Her patience as a teacher and skill as a therapist makes this the perfect class for your child.

Why Choose Us?

Our AML program lets your special needs child embrace their originality and creativity while helping build a greater sense of self. Music can and does reach students on a wonderful, deep level, that other subjects can’t reach.

We offer AMLs on Piano, Voice, Beginner Guitar, and Percussion. This gives your child the opportunity to perform in our bi-annual recitals, and put their best foot forward. No matter what instrument they lean towards.

The Cost and The Benefit

Our adaptive music classes are only 150 a month for the first child. We offer multi-child discounts even if they’re taking regular music lessons, Zumbini, or Choir.

Our hope is that our lessons can bring the joy of music to students of all types and backgrounds. To share the love of music that we have, and bring it to you one great class at a time.
